Shawnee is the 2nd fastest growing communities in the State of Kansas. According to the 2010 Census, with a recent growth of 29% over the last decade, Shawnee is 7th largest city in both the State of Kansas and
the Kansas City metropolitan area. And this trend will continue. The western
half of Shawnee alone is expected to grow nearly twice as
fast as any other census tract in the metropolitan area.
