Shawnee is the 7th largest city in the State of Kansas, and
in the Kansas City metropolitan area. According to the 2007
Census, with a recent growth of 25% over the past 7 years,
Shawnee is the fastest-growing community in the Kansas City
metropolitan area. And this trend will continue. The western
half of Shawnee alone is expected to grown nearly twice as
fast as any other census tract in the metropolitan area.
