McLain’s Bakery will be expanding into a new location in Shawnee with a target opening of late Spring 2020.
McLain’s Bakery, which already has three area locations, recently announced that it has selected a site in Downtown Shawnee for its fourth expansion. – McLain’s Market Shawnee. In a move long hoped for by the community, McLain’s will be purchasing and renovating the iconic OK Garage at 5833 Nieman Rd.
McLain’s is well known for being family-owned, for their delicious pastries and treats, their quaint locations and their custom cake options. They feature an expansive coffee menu, full lunch offerings and the opportunity to host private events within their space.

The Shawnee EDC is excited to welcome such an iconic Kansas City bakery to Shawnee! “Downtown Shawnee was brought up and we started looking around at different real estate and found the OK Garage. We walked in the building and immediately fell in love with the potential of what McLain’s could be there.”
